This hands-on activity, aligned with the Australian Curriculum, empowers students to turn everyday waste into energy, encouraging critical thinking, teamwork, and scientific inquiry. Bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical environmental solutions.
Through the ScrapHeat Challenge, your students will:

Who can participate?
Students across Australia in Years 3 to 12 can join the ScrapHeat Challenge. Teams will compete for exciting prizes, all while learning key skills in sustainability and STEM.

Teachers: Register your class or student groups to take part in this unique and innovative challenge.

Students: Form teams of up to 5 classmates and ask your teacher to sign you up.

Homeschoolers: Homeschool groups are also invited to participate and compete for student prizes.
