Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School Crowned Winners in the Bee's Knees National STEM Challenge 2024

Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School Triumphs Over 103 Schools in the Bee’s Knees National STEM Challenge 2024.

The winning team, the Sabrina Carpenter Bees (Maria, Sahasra, Kaitlyn), captivated the judges with their innovative approach to the challenge. They didn’t just meet expectations—they exceeded them by combining creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork in a way that set their project apart.

The team’s work demonstrated a deep understanding of pollinators' vital role in ecosystems, seamlessly integrating research into their garden design. Their artistic tablet-drawn blueprint translated into a stunning garden model, complete with thoughtful touches like a pond and handmade paper flowers to attract bees. Judges praised their ability to connect science, design, and storytelling, with their final video adding a compelling narrative and a perfectly chosen music overlay.

In recognition of their achievement, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School was honoured as a Champion School for Nurturing Tomorrow's STEM Pioneers. Each team member received individual trophies, certificates, and prizes. The presentation ceremony, featuring a photo of the award handover, celebrated both the students’ hard work and the school's dedication to fostering a love of STEM.

Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School exemplified what this challenge is all about: fostering a love for STEM, encouraging teamwork, and inspiring real-world solutions” said STEM Hub's CEO Dr. Jo Zimpel.

The Sabrina Carpenter Bees’ winning project will be showcased on STEM Hub’s social media platforms, allowing the broader community to see the creativity and passion that led to their victory.

STEM Hub congratulates Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School and the Sabrina Carpenter Bees on this incredible achievement, which reflects their dedication, innovation, and collaboration.
